This is an exceptionally fine quality hand woven wool fabric from Harris Tweed. This fabric is part of our Harris Tweed fabric range. This luxurious fabric is made with 100% pure virgin wool, dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides and woven by hand by the Islanders. Harris Tweed is the only fabric in the world protected by an Act of Parliament. This Act is policed by the Harris Tweed Authority who meticulously inspects their fabrics before stamping them by hand with the orb trademark; a trademark which appears on every single Harris Tweed item, to prove its authenticity and so no other fabric can call itself Harris Tweed.
For every metre of this Harris Tweed fabric you purchase, you will receive two Harris Tweed labels (up to 10 labels, if more are required please contact us) to show it is hand woven from 100% wool.
As this Harris Tweed fabric is 100% wool it is inherently fire retardant. This wool fabric would look stunning made up into a pair of curtains or a roman blind or it could be used for upholstery. It would adorn any room and oozes spectacular quality.
This fabric has a Martindale abrasion test result of 20,000+ rubs.
