Printed Curtain Fabric
Printing is a process that is one of the last stages of making a fabric. A fabric is woven and the fabric moves along while drums of each colour and design are pressed down onto the cloth at regular repeats across and up the fabric (warp & weft direction). Here are some fabrics that are used:
Cotton FabricCotton is a soft fibre that grows around the seeds of the cotton plant, a shrub native to the tropical and subtropical regions of both the Old World and the New World. The fibre is most often spun into thread and used to make a soft, breathable textile.
Linen FabricLinen is a material made from the fibres of the flax plant. Linen produced in Ireland is called Irish linen. Lighter weight linens are used for fabric household goods, such as pillowcases and towels.
Muslin FabricMuslin is a type of finely-woven cotton fabric, introduced to Europe from the Middle East in the 17th century. It was named for the city where it was first made, Mosul in what is now Iraq.
